It's probably just food poisoning, but considering everyone and their mother probably knew from the journals that the Ministry has been having a potluck all week, and the DMLE isn't always popular... it can't hurt to check.

I'm sure you've had your hands full, but I couldn't help noticing that Mundungus Fletcher seemed to take the criticisms of the Order's last pirate broadcast rather personally. He wasn't the only one, and he's certainly not the first one I would have pegged for a vigilante, but it's something to look into. Much as I hate It might be worthwhile to look into Benjy Fenwick as well.

It's been suggested tbe DMLE sponsor a self-defense workshop for civilians on what to do in an emergency situation until we arrive. An educated populace would go a long way towards making our jobs easier when we arrive on the scene as well as hopefully instilling a bit more confidence in the DMLE. Arthur Weasley brought it up to me, and offered to donate some of his off duty hours. You can count on me for whatever needs doing as well.

Since I can't be the only one tired of talking about Unforgivables and protests, I'm taking it upon myself to announce that the fifteenth annual DMLE Thanks-be-to-Merlin-the-Holidays-Are-Over Quidditch Match will be held on Saturday, 7 January, 1981, barring calamity. Rules per usual: hits versus aurors, PAT versus Crime Lab, winners play for the title. Significant others are allowed only if they don't belong to one of the other teams, and the losers foot the coffee bill for the next month.
